Plate to Paddock Sustainability Challenge
Kicking off on April 1, for four weeks, the Plate to Paddock Challenge (major sponsor is Central Coast Council), will involve local businesses to take part in a series of simple, fun activities focused on increasing their knowledge about sustainable food practices and reducing and re-purposing food waste.
Participating businesses will score points for each sustainable activity completed. At the end of the month, all scores will be tallied and a Plate to Paddock Challenge winner will be announced at a Gala Awards Ceremony hosted by Central Coast Council in early May. A variety of local sustainable and environmentally friendly prizes will also be awarded on the night.
Opportunities currently exist for businesses wanting to support this local Challenge and be promoted by doing so.
In a few weeks, registration for businesses wanting to participate will be opened – till March 28 (a supporting business can also participate in the challenge).
