These are some of the technologies that are available today. Some are familiar and have been around for a while and others are new and used in other industries but how do they sit with manufacturing? How do you face the challenge of evaluating and adopting a vast range of technologies in order to stay competitive and add value to your clients?
These were the questions that were discussed during a Morning breakfast session on the 23thMay at Ourimbah. Daniel Gronowski , National Technology Adviser and Thorsten Wacker , Digital Business facilitator, gave two very informative presentations that took the audience through the advances of the various technologies in manufacturing and offered options on how these technologies could be applied, both simple and advanced.
Technology is continually changing and developing, and it is driving change in industry and creating new industries. Both Daniel and Thorsten encourage the audience to employ the relevant technologies in their businesses to enhance their product quality, cost and service. Their key tips were
- Identify a specific need
- Start small
- Develop Skills in-house
