West Gosford Company, Chamberlain Group are finalist in the HMA Manufacturing awards to be held on the 11th October. Central Coast Industry Connect considers the Chamberlain facility as a premier manufacturing site in the region. It is a great example of a company that has embraced its workforce, automation, lean practices and has utilised government programs to drive factory performance and global competitiveness. A local business that dates back 1914!
Chamberlain have entered a number of categories in the awards:

- Excellence in People and Skills development
- Manufacturer of the Year
Graeme Sheeky, Operations Manager and his team have developed a culture of innovation on the back of LEAN manufacturing principles and the adoption of their mantra, ‘Relentless Pursuit of Excellence’ which encourages EVERY employee to submit ideas for their Continual Improvement Program; the majority of which have been incorporated into the workplace. This cuts across all aspects of plant performance.
Chamberlain Australia, spearheaded by the Gosford Manufacturing Plant, embarked on a transformational, long term OH&S reform. Safety is at the cornerstone of all of their manufacturing improvements.
