Chair of Central Coast Industry Connect (CCIC), Ian Hemphill, is pleased to announce the appointment of Bill Heague to the CCIC Board. Bill is the General Manager of Mars Food Australia, manufacturing on NSW’s Central Coast, some of Australia’s favourite Brands such as MasterFoods, Dolmio & Ben’s Original. Prior to taking this role, Bill was the General Manager of the Mars business in Ireland & prior to that in the Czech Republic & Slovakia.
“I am pleased that Bill has joined our organisation at a time where CCIC is leading the development of the Food and Beverage industry in the region,” said Ian. “Bills skill set will compliment the existing board members and bring another dimension to our thinking as we embark on some major initiatives”
Bill has a keen interest in improving the sustainability of the FMCG business in Australia representing Mars on the AFGC’s Steering Committee for the National Plastics Recycling Scheme & of course as a founding signatory to the Australian Food Pact. “Bills interest in these areas compliment our focus on the circular economy and food waste and in particular our participation in the Fight Food Waste CRC” said Frank Sammut, Executive Director.
Bills appointment was ratified by the board at the 17th February Board meeting.
