In 2022 Central Coast Industry Connect successfully completed the “Better for Business Central Coast project” (BBCC) for the State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) which sought to understand challenges and opportunities for the access and implementation of workplace mental health strategies and resources in Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) operating in the Central Coast region.

The project led by CCIC and including the Central Coast Local Health District (Mental Health Service), Resilience NSW, and the University of Newcastle, delivered a number out outcomes and recommendations.

A key recommendation was the creating of a safe environment to explore opportunities to facilitate peer-to-peer collaboration, support, and learning in the mental health space. To facilitate this a “Well Being “cluster has been established.
