Based in Tuggerah on the Central Coast, Bioaction Pty Ltd is a privately-owned business that was established to develop unique technologies and construction techniques to effectively mitigate fugitive odorous and corrosive gases in the municipal and industrial markets.
Bioaction was established in 2009 by two brothers, Larry and Peter Botham. As a true start-up business, the management team has been able to successfully navigate the constant challenges to position the business as a viable SME.
The company specialises in the research, design, installation and maintenance of biological, oxidising and absorption air phase filtration systems for the treatment and removal of odours and emissions. Bioaction supplies modular systems Australia wide with the vision to expand to the export marketplace.
It operates in a very specific market with its major customers being water authorities, local government and regulated industries, where compliance determines success or failure. With their primary market in the wastewater industry they have applications suitable for food, agri-food, waste recycling and biogas industries.
In 2017 Bioaction took out two major honours at the Central Coast Business of Excellence Awards; Business of the year and Excellence in Innovation. They were a finalist in the 2017 NSW Business Chamber Business Awards in the category of Excellence in Innovation
Using a unique business model, they have set a standard within the industry.
